Job Description

Systems Integration Engineer

At MELON Power Solutions, we specialize in end-to-end decarbonization strategies and support clients across various sectors delivering innovative and integrated/hybrid tailored solutions that balance sustainability goals with business performance.

As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will design and commission fully integrated power systems combining gensets, batteries and PV. You will define the overall system architecture (power flow, control and communication links) and oversee on-site assembly. Your role includes developing system schematics, configuring controllers and inverters, and ensuring that all components work together safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical integration of energy systems by defining system architectures for combined Methanol GenSet + BESS + PV installations. Determine interconnections, control strategies and specifications for each subsystem.
  • Oversee installation, configuration and end-to-end testing of the integrated system. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, and perform system-level commissioning to validate performance, safety and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues (electrical, controls or communications) and iterate on system designs as needed. Provide guidance to technicians and partner teams during installation and commissioning.
  • Produce technical documentation (wiring diagrams, user manuals, reports) and train internal staff or clients on system operation and maintenance.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control or similar engineering discipline. Several years of experience (typically 3–5 years) in systems or project engineering for power/energy applications.
  • Experience with power electronics and energy storage: familiarity with battery management systems (BMS), inverters/converters, and electrical controls. Ability to use engineering tools (e.g. simulation, SCADA) and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to technical details. Good communication to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Experience Level: Mid-level (3–5 years)
Location: Athens, Greece
Employment: Full-time, permanent
